I added this great bag to my etsy shop today, its made with vintage tablecloths from Savers. I love the orange embroidery, and I am a sucker for seersucker.

blue elephants

I have a baby shower coming up on the weekend and thought I'd make these muslin wraps and matching bibs. The bibs have a soft blue on the back. The soon-to-be new mum knows they are having a boy, exciting times!

I found these old patterns at Savers recently, I love the hair and shoes as well as the clothes! I thought I might attempt a skirt or one of the tops . . just have to find the right material now.

My neighbor lent me some old Womens Day magazines from 1970. I love the idea of 'crocheting some romance' and smoking in the fashion shoot in your velvet jumpsuit. Nice.

Spring is sprung and so the backyard pots were in need of some care and new colour. It was good to remove the dead sticks out of some and replace them with strawberries and geraniums. Just in time for some spring rain.

I discovered this old sheet in the cupboard the other day and decided it would make a lovely soft pair of pyjama pants. So the sheet is back where it belongs in bed. I love the blossom and birds, they are the perfect pj's for spring.

a little birdie, thanks to mums help!

off and racing

I have been gearing up for the Spring Carnival racing season here in Melbourne and have made myself a fascinator and matching clutch bag with self covered buttons. These are to go with a simple black silk dress. I can't wait to get frocked up and head to a race day. Now I just have to hope for sunny weather.
